About Our Scenic Adirondack Campground

It's a Kayuta Lake state of mind!
Located on a beautiful lake at the foothills of the Adirondacks, Kayuta Lake Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in Upstate New York. Kayuta Lake is 4.5 miles long and extends 3 miles up the Black River where nature is at its best. The park is in the clutches of tall pines and wild cherry trees. We offer family fun for the kids, and relaxation for the parents. Visit the many attractions in the area or just lay back, relax and let the kids have fun. Call today to make your reservation and create memories your family will treasure forever! We have the perfect site waiting for you!

NEW FOR 2012: Outdoor Laser Tag! You don't just play the game, you are the game!
Laser Tag is a high tech combination of tag and hide & go seek. It has all the excitement of paintball without the pain, bruises or projectiles! No padded clothing needed! Our state-of-the-art taggers come with red dot scopes, triggers, adjustable stocks, realistic sounds and head sensors. They shoot harmless beams of infra-red light up to 150’ in bright sunlight or 250’ at night! Once a player is hit, their sensor's will "flash" and a loud "ouch" is screamed from the tagger. Each hit reduces available health points, until the player gets “deactivated” from the game. You know you have been deactivated when you hear “Medic, Medic, man down!”. The tagger will no longer be in use and depending on the mission, it’s off to the “cemetery” or your team’s re-spawn station. Missions are played on an outdoor battlefield. Obstacles on the battlefield create opportunities to hide and ambush opponents. With a little bit of strategy, some quick wits (and even quicker reflexes) your team will emerge victorious! Laser Tag is a blast for kids from 8 to 80! Sign up in the store for scheduled times!

2012 B.R.A.I.N. Foundation Can & Bottle Drive is starting up!
OK campers, last season we collected 25,700 cans & bottles. In 2010, it was 25,936. Help us hit the 26,000 mark this year! Please place your returnable cans & bottles in the recycling bins located in front of the office and at the Playhouse or drop off your bags of cans & bottles down at the maintenance barn! Thank you!

DEC FIREWOOD REGULATIONS
It is best to leave all firewood at home. If you choose to transport firewood within New York State:
  • It must have a receipt or label that has the firewood's source and it must remain within 50 miles of that source.
  • For firewood not purchased (i.e. cut from your own property) you must have a Self-Issued Certificate of Source (available at the campground), and it must be sourced within 50 miles of your destination.
  • Only firewood labeled as meeting New York's heat treatment standards to kill pests (kiln-dried) may be transported into the state and further than 50 miles from the firewood's source.
